What KIND of dress to wear when attending a SIKH wedding? - sikh wedding dress

Here's the deal .... my friend of 3 years (from India) India. His cousin and married to a Sikh wedding. The mother of my friend wants me to make a dress for the Indian wedding. I am sure that not only the appropriate clothes to wear, I wear a sari, a choli, salwar, Patiala, or a suit or a suit salwar kurta?
